BEAUTIFUL, CANDID PORTRAITS ON YOUR WEDDING DAY

As a wedding photographer, I pride myself on taking a natural, "hands-off" approach to your special day. This means I focus on capturing the real, authentic moments as they happen, without dictating events or staging situations. But while I love letting the day unfold organically, there’s something special about capturing a few beautiful, intimate portraits of my couples.

Many couples worry that taking portraits will pull them away from their loved ones for too long, or worse, that their wedding will turn into an extended photoshoot. That’s why I keep things simple, relaxed and low-pressure, so your day remains yours to enjoy.

SNEAKING AWAY FOR A MOMENT—JUST YOU TWO

Throughout the wedding day, we’ll sneak away a couple of times for just 10 minutes or so, to capture those gorgeous, romantic portraits. This isn’t about disrupting the flow of your day or keeping you away from your guests for hours. Instead, it’s an opportunity for you and your partner to have a quick breather, soak in the moment, and enjoy a little quiet time together.

These short portrait sessions are designed to be fun and relaxed. There’s no fussing over stiff poses or unnatural setups. It’s about capturing the love, excitement, and joy you’re feeling in the moment, set against the beautiful backdrop of your wedding venue.

YOUR WEDDING, NOT A PHOTOSHOOT

One of the biggest concerns I hear from couples is the fear that their wedding will feel like a photoshoot, with constant posing and endless hours away from the celebration. I totally get that—your wedding day should be about enjoying the experience, spending time with your family and friends, and creating unforgettable memories, not standing in front of a camera all day.

That’s why I take a natural approach. By keeping our portrait sessions short and sweet, you get the best of both worlds. You’ll be back with your loved ones before anyone even notices you're gone, and you’ll still walk away with those magical shots to cherish forever.

A MOMENT TO BREATHE AND REFLECT ON YOUR DAY

Weddings can be a whirlwind, with so much happening all at once. Sometimes, sneaking away for those 10-minute portrait sessions is a chance for you and your partner to catch your breath, reflect on the day so far, and simply enjoy a quiet moment together before diving back into the celebration.

These moments often result in some of my favourite images, because they capture genuine emotions—the happiness, excitement, and love that’s so palpable on your wedding day. And since you’re in a relaxed, intimate setting, the photos feel effortless and natural, rather than posed or forced.

Letting Your Day Flow Naturally

Ultimately, my goal is to capture the essence of your wedding day—the laughter, the love, the fun, and the meaningful connections with your loved ones. By incorporating a few brief portrait sessions into the day, I ensure that you get beautiful portraits without interrupting the natural flow of your celebration. It’s all about balance: letting the day unfold, capturing candid moments, and creating beautiful portraits, all while keeping things light and enjoyable.

If you’re worried about your wedding turning into a drawn-out photoshoot, rest assured: with my approach, you’ll spend the vast majority of your day exactly where you want to be—celebrating with your friends and family. We’ll sneak away for just a few minutes, create some stunning portraits, and then get you right back into the action.
